Unser Spanish Arabians was started in 1995 in the Rio Grande Valley of New Mexico by Schanen Yates Unser. A full service breeding, boarding and training facility, we moved to Boise, Idaho in 2007. Located in Hidden Springs, Idaho, we have acres of pasture and a full size show arena.

Although specializing in the Spanish Arabian/Half-Arabian Show Horse, we offer training on all makes and models. From ground work, to starting your horses under saddle, to the show ring, or just for pleasure riding, USA has thirty years of experience to draw on in helping you reach your goals.

We focus on training horses properly to ensure soft mouths and full comprehension of what is expected from your mount whether you ride English, Western, Over Fences or just out on the trail.

Lessons are included in boarding fees, or you can choose to take lessons on one of our horses. All ages are welcome and we are now booking students for Spring 2011 sessions.

On the breeding front, the goal of Unser Spanish Arabians is to preserve the blood of that rare strain, the modern pure Spanish horse, which has had such an impact on the Arabian Show Horse in the United States. While many farms have incorporated the pure Spanish horse into their breeding programs, there are few operations in America that continue the work of the Yequada Militar like those that imported and bred during the early 1980's.

We imported and stand at stud the Military bred Spanish Stallion *Val Pacha. *Val Pacha was Spanish National Champion colt in Spain and went on to win both 2007 and 2008 USEF Arabian Hunter Jumper Horse of the Year. His first get to enter the show ring, Artesa USA, has recently won 2010 Region 8 Reserve Champion Sport Horse under saddle.
